When Christmas Feels Different Than It Used To—Why Does It Matter?

Christmas Time

When memory softens the noise and the family looks different, and the King still reigns

Christmas is a time

To celebrate

With Family and friends—

It makes us feel great!

Joy of the season

Crowns our years

When we gather

With those we hold dear!

Remembering times

From Christmas Past

Refreshes our memory–

It’s really a BLAST!

Now that I’m older

Times seem to have flown

The kids and grandkids

 Are almost grown!

Now count memories

As we must share

Our time without them—

Still, we will always care!

Remember God’s Child—

Our Savior and king.

He brings us hope

That makes our heart ring!

When was Christ born?

We really don’t know.

But we will rejoice-

He’s better than GOLD.

Christ didn’t come

With jewels and rings

Nevertheless,

He is still our King

Rejoice and be glad! —

Let the world hear you sing!

Merry Christmas to you

Just has a great ring!
