I have been married to Martha for more than sixty years, with four children and seven granddaughters, and a grandson. A life of faith, family, and service has shaped both career and calling.

My professional experience includes twenty-four years in industry serving in a range of engineering management roles, followed by sixteen years in higher education as Professor of Engineering and leader and founding member of the electrical engineering program at Oklahoma Christian University.

Currently, I do  research focused on bible, culture, and traditions which continues the joy of learning and sharing.

My additional professional service includes partnering with another engineer to found  an international seminar business focused on wireless communications

I have participatedin several faith-based boards and initiatives:

  • Original board member of Let’s Start Talking, and assisting in the creation of its first training manual, providing training, and supervision of numerous mission groups
  • Board member for the Foundation of Biblical Studies – Institute of Theology and Christian Ministry in St. Petersburg, Russia
  • Board member for the South Pacific Bible College in New Zealand
  • Elder at High Pointe Church of Christ and Westside Church of Christ in McKinney, Texas

My contributions in Strategic planning  have supported education, industry, and church organizations, including facilitation and Group Dynamics  training for group leaders and discussion groups.

I have years of teaching Bible classes, conducting home studies, and participating in summer mission work. This  has deepened a lifelong commitment to Christian education and leadership development.

I have performed professional and mission work with cultures in over 30 countries. A  life lived long provides material for numerous thought-provoking reflections  exploring themes of scripture, culture, traditions  and leadership.

I am currently a member of the Crossway Church of Christ in Celina, Texas

Much of what shapes our lives—our traditions, culture, and even church practices—is often accepted without much reflection. These Reflective Thoughts are written to stir the mind and heart, inviting readers to pause and ask, Why do we think that? Why do we do that? The aim is not to unsettle, but to awaken gentle curiosity that  encourages deeper understanding, stronger faith, and more intentional living. Through honest questioning and quiet reflection, these writings seek to bless others by awakening thoughtful, meaningful reflection on events, traditions, and practices.
